CAMAN courses in Nova Scotia are delivered by our four core instructors and held on demand, typically in the spring and fall, with class sizes ranging from 12 to 18 participants.

We offer training throughout the Atlantic provinces and provide health districts locally in New Brunswick and PEI , as well as health districts in other provinces the opportunity to develop in-house instructors, allowing them to deliver CAMAN internally at a reduced rate.

Instructor Groups

Nova Scotia

Nova Scotia is home to CAMAN National, the central hub responsible for course development, updates, and course registration across Canada. All Certificates of Attendance are issued through CAMAN National / Inquiring Minds Education for Nurses.

Canadian Armed Forces (CAF)

CAMAN is a mandatory course for all Critical Care Nurses in the CAF. Our team of seven CAF instructors, based across Canada, is actively preparing to deliver the course to all CCNOs and select additional personnel as required. This ensures consistent, high-quality airway management training across the military healthcare system.

  • CAMAN courses within the CAF are not posted on this webpage. Members are advised to go to the CPE to look for internal courses. Members unable to find a course within the CAF may apply for locally provided courses, pending authorization from your unit.

British Columbia – Northern Health

Since 2024, a team of six full-time educators from UNHBC has been delivering the CAMAN course to Northern Health employees. The course is specifically offered to staff working in Emergency, Recovery Room, and ICU settings, ensuring targeted, high-impact training for frontline teams.

"We have been looking for a course that helps us with airway management in the recovery room. We took PALS and as good as it is, it did not meet the particular need we had. This is the course we have been looking for!"
